Masks must be worn on campus

During Back to School Night you will receive classroom assignments, masks for students, informational documents, meet staff & there will also be plenty of hand sanitizer. For social distancing we will spread ourselves around the school campus.

Outside locations for our grade levels on Back to School Night and where students will line up in the mornings to enter the building:

* ACP - will be in front of building right by door #1 (porch area)

*Pre-K- will be by door #20 around towards the Pre-K Playground - enter by drop off lane in front of building

*Kindergarten-will be in front of building down sidewalk towards 52nd Street

*1st Grade- will be in front of building down sidewalk towards 52nd Street

*2nd Grade - will be in front of building sown sidewalk towards Spaulding Street

*3rd Grade- will be on Spaulding Street side on sidewalk by bus lane area

*4th/5th Grades will be in back parking lot areas by door #8 off Spaulding Street

Summer Reading Program
Imagine Your Story

No matter how old you are, reading benefits everyone. Reading over the summer has been shown to increase your reading skills, and that gives you a leg up when you go back to the classroom this fall. Besides that, reading is just plain fun!

Summer Reading Challenge

Students should take at least 30 minutes every day to read. Our Summer Reading Challenge is back, so make sure to log that time here.

Breakfast Grab-N-Go

Fontenelle Elementary is very lucky to have the breakfast Grab - n - Go program. There is no charge for breakfast, complimentary for all students. Breakfast begins at 8:35 a.m. School starts promptly at 8:50 a.m.  No students should be at school before 8:30 a.m.

 

Fontenelle Elementary School is located at 3905 N. 52nd Street in Omaha.  Our school serves a diverse student population in grades pre-k through fifth grade.  We believe that a school environment must be safe, secure, and disciplined to maximize learning opportunities and ensure all students will achieve to their highest potential.  Honors assemblies are held to recognize student accomplishments in the areas of academics, citizenship, and attendance.  The regular classroom instruction is supplemented with a variety of programs that support and enrich the core curriculum.  Resources are available to students in reading, mathematics, and special education, as well as English as a Second Language, Gifted Education, and guidance and counseling programs.  Friends of Fontenelle Falcons, and Adopt-A-School business partners provide support, as well as material and financial assistance.  Fontenelle excels as a community of learners, where students discover, and adults re-discover the joys of learning.
